If you guys saw my Snapchats today (hannamonty), you know I was having a serious health-kick Monday. From the gym to the kitchen, I was whipping up all kinds of stuff that made my body feel GOOD. Including these warm and heavenly cinnamon sugar plantain chips —> my new favorite snack.
Now, never in my life have I bought or tried to cook anything having to do with plantains, but for some reason they stood out to me at the grocery store the other day.. so I got one! And now I’m sharing my recipe with you guys, in case ya’ll are 24/7 snack-attackers like me 🙂
ALL YOU NEED:
1 plantain, (green and unripe, mine wasn’t, but the results are better if it is)
1 1/2 tbsp olive oil, or melted coconut oil!
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp sugar
dash of salt
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Peel the plantain and cut slices very thin, making sure they are all even. In a bowl, mix the plantain slices with the rest of the ingredients, making sure they are coated evenly. Place the slices on a cookie sheet lined with foil or parchment paper, and put in the oven for 8 minutes, or until brown. Flip slices over, and keep it in the oven for another 8-10 minutes. The slices are ready when they are brown and crispy!
PS: if your plantains are not crisping up, you can put them on broil for a couple minutes, but make sure you have an eye on them because they can burn easily! (Mine got a little burnt hehe).
Now this is a totally out-of-the-ordinary outfit for me! I was just feelin’ the boho vibes as I built the outfit around my new orange crop top. The skirt and purse I actually borrowed from my mom’s closet haha. I loveeee going to her closet when she’s in a generous mood (which is 95% of the time!). She will literally bring out 10 different options of everything and give me advice on what to wear and what accessories to pair with it. I love that about my mom 🙂
That being said, I’m not sure where the skirt and bag are from, BUT….

Today was a cozy Sunday! I got a lot of work done at home and then went on a date with Austin to a place called Tar & Roses. It’s the highest-rated restaurant in Santa Monica on Yelp, and it definitely lived up to that title. Everything we ordered was phenomenal and the atmosphere and service were on point. Now it’s time for bed, I’m planning on hitting the gym tomorrow morning!
The other day Sara and I drove up to Malibu to shoot for Chiquelle’s new swimwear collection!! It was definitely one of the best photoshoots I’ve ever done. The Chiquelle team is just the nicest and cutest group of people you’ll ever meet. It made it even better that the swimwear was to die for… the styles are so simple yet chic and the colors are on point. I know I keep saying dusty rose this and dusty rose that, but seriously…. DUSTY ROSE. Speaking of dusty rose (again), that reminds me of one of the Montazami Brand graphic tees that is coming out soon!
Our lovely spray tans are from Organic Shimmer, a chic tanning place we just discovered on Melrose. I went in and got ”medium bronze” and I’m so happy with the color. You can see their website here (<— dusty rose 😛 )
Today was a mellow Saturday, just what I needed after a few big nights out. After our jewelry event was over, Sara and I met up with our cute cousin Niki for some lunch. We ate at The Independence in Santa Monica and I had a farmer’s vegetable salad with a salmon filet on top 🙂 Not sure if I would order it again though haha.
DUSTY ROSE / SAGE GREEN
Did you guys get a chance to see my Snapchat haul yesterday?? I showed you guys all my new pieces from NA-KD that I’m obsessing over. This dusty rose midi dress is one of them 🙂 Cute huh? I paired it with my new gorgeous bag from Strathberry.

My oldest friend Madison came up to LA for the night so we’re planning on going out later 🙂 We’re going to a friend’s house to pregame and then we’ll probably end up barhopping around Santa Monica and Venice since it’s First Friday’s. This is the third night in a row that I’m going out… I’m SO tired!
Some beachy photos I took the other day! I love the color combo of the white crochet and burnt orange. This is the first crochet bikini I’ve ever owned and I’m definitely going to start wearing them more! I like how these bottoms have elastic on the sides too… it lays really nice on the skin.
SNAPCHATTERS, LISTEN IN! Today I’ll be doing a NA-KD haul on my snapchat, and I want you guys to join me! I’ll be showing my new NA-KD arrivals and trying them on for you guys. I’m also revealing a super special discount code that will be valid for 24 hours! If you’re not following me already, you can add me with username hannamonty
This morning Sara and I had a super exciting Skype meeting about a future campaign that we’re gunna be a part of. It’s gunna be so badass!! The future is looking oh so bright 🙂

How fun is this itty bitty little succulent bikini?! Yes, succulents, not asparagus. When I showed Austin this bikini he’s like ”oh cute is that asparagus??” NO babe.. it’s not haha.
I think this suit is perfect for the desert so I’m bringing it with me to Coachella. The top could even double as a crop top with high waisted shorts or a long flowy skirt…. mmhm creative juices are flowing.
Here’s a little glimpse of the gorgeous sunset we caught the other day at Victoria Beach in Laguna. Once it started getting darker, the colors got even stronger! I got all the photos from Isaac yesterday and I cannot wait to share with you guys. Those photos are coming soon 🙂

Even though Spring just ”officially” began, I’ve been in the spring mindset for awhile now. To me, spring is the season of bright flowers, fresh linen, and sunshine. Which obviously means we have to dress the part! How cute are these white dresses I found online? My favorites are numbers 3, 4, & 6. All white is so classic, but I’m definitely going to be pairing my whites with pearl greys, oranges, and pale blues this season.

Striking beauty. Is this place really where I get to live?! I was feeling so blessed watching the sunset this afternoon. I’m so thankful that I get to live in such a beautiful place.
These were some quick photos I took during my photoshoot today! I had two bikinis to shoot so I met up with my photographer friend Isaac right before the sun went down. We caught one of the most AMAZING sunsets I’ve seen in all my life. Like we’re talking cotton candy skies times a billion! A sight like that will stay with me forever. The photos are gunna be awesome and I can’t wait to show you guys 🙂
Happy Easter and Glad Påsk!
This morning’s brunch consisted of eggs benedict, fresh papaya with lime, and mimosas. So yummy! We decorated the table with my mom’s beautiful Fyrklövern tableware collection called ”Moments by Maria”. The soft pink and silver accents made it perfect for the occasion.
After breakfast, all of us (except my mom bc she was busy filming) went down to the boat to spend the day on the water. My dad was trying to teach Nicho how to drive the boat and Copper was shaking like a leaf SO SCARED haha. But Copper has learned to love the boat… she was looking for her seal friends all day and she was so excited when she finally saw them! She must have been a seal in her past life because she has a true bond with them and she looks exactly like one haha.
Debating titling this post as 1001 Ways to Pose With Your Towel haha.
But I have to say… circle beach towels are IN. I took mine to the beach the other day and just loved it. It has a total picnic vibe. Like criss-cross apple sauce eating sandwiches and drinking lemonade with your friends kinda vibe. AND it’s perfect for two, in case you’re looking for some romance a la playa 😉
