Hi guys!

I’m writing to you as I’m currently on the airplane flying from Croatia to Stockholm. There’s a lot of Swedes on this flight! But not too many….we’re all sitting together in the middle of the airplane because there are only 46 passengers, and we needed to make sure it was balanced haha. The flight has been smooth sailing with very little turbulence so I’m hoping it will stay like that for the remaining 40 minutes. I’m trying to not have flashbacks of my last airplane ride…

But I finally had a chance to go through and edit most of my pictures from London and Paris! On our third night in Paris we had reservations at LiLi, which is a Cantonese restaurant at the Peninsula Paris hotel. I’ve never had Cantonese cuisine, so I was very excited to try. And the food was so freakin’ good! I ate things that I’ve never eaten before, like abalone and crispy duck on pancakes. It was definitely our best meal in Paris! We tried their most popular dishes and we loved every single one. We were so full by the time we left haha.. but hat’s a sign of a successful dinner date!

EXPLORING THE BLUE CAVES IN DUBROVNIK

Heeeey beauties!

Croatia just gets better and better the more we explore it.  Here’s a look at our adventurous safari boat excursion that we went on today.  This is my biggest recommendation so far.  If you guys ever visit Dubrovnik, you have to go on this boat tour!  In case you missed it on my Snap, they played the best music, provided lunch and unlimited drinks, and gave us the best views of Dubrovnik.  The boat picked us up at 2 and we came back at 8… a full day on the water and under the sun.  There were only about 9-10 other people with us (besides the three people running it, who happened to be the nicest people ever!) so it was a little more intimate, which was nice because you got to meet some new friends.  Austin and I met these two German girls who we ended up chatting with the whole day!

Anyways I am so exhausted so I’m off to bed…. have a lovely night/day my babes! I have many more pictures to show you too <3

PS I forgot the exact name of the tour but I will find that out tomorrow and let you guys know in case you ever visit Dubrovnik!

ARRIVED IN PARADISE…

The view from our room at the Valamar Dubrovnik President hotel

Good morning from sunny Croatia!  I can’t even begin to tell you how happy I am to be here (and to be alive), after such a horrible experience on the plane yesterday.  I am not trying to be over-dramatic, but I literally thought our plane was going down.  The flight seemed to be fine, a little turbulence here and there, nothing out of the ordinary.  All of a sudden the plane drops (I don’t know how far it dropped) and it looks like we are about to nose-dive from the sky.  Everything happened in slow motion.  I have an image stuck in my mind of what I saw at that moment, and that will unfortunately stay with me forever.  Austin and I remember seeing our tea in mid-air, the lights flickered off, and everyone was screaming.  I screamed for my life… and in that moment I thought to myself ”I’m going to die”.  It was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever went through.  After it happened the pilot explained it was just very bad turbulence and that it was over, but that couldn’t help me stop bawling crying the whole rest of the way.  All I could do was hold Austin’s hand and pray that everything was going to be okay.  I’m naturally very uneasy when it comes to flying so this will not make it any easier the next time I have to board a plane.  But I’m so happy we landed safely!!  Thank you God.

Our day quickly turned from a nightmare to a dream when we arrived here at the hotel.  We’re staying at the Valamar Dubrovnik President hotel, which is located on the western side of the Babin Kuk peninsula in Dubrovnik.  We were greeted with a glass of ice cold champagne and cold hand towels.  When we checked in, the reception has informed us that our room had been double-upgraded.  The room and the hotel itself is absolutely stunning and I can’t wait to spend the next three days here.  Here’s to Croatia!  Talk soon <3

Greetings from Paris!

Yesterday was unforgettable… I’ll remember it for the rest of my life!  We visited Chateau de Versailles, located just a quick 30 minutes outside of Paris.  After a full tour of the inside of the palace, we had lunch at Angelina and then made our way to the beautiful gardens.  We spent the whole afternoon there, rowing in the water and walking through the maze-like forest.  I couldn’t believe how well-manicured all of the greenery was!  I’ve never seen anything like it.  I have tons of photos from Versailles, but those will come in a later post!

Right now we’re headed to the Louvre, Luxembourg gardens, and the Eiffel Tower.  I’m trying to squeeze in a little visit to Ladureé while we’re at it 😉  I think I’ve gained 5-7 pounds on this trip haha.

Afternoon Tea at The Lobby, Peninsula Paris Hotel

So, I’m in love with Paris.  But you expected that, right?  Today I really felt the magic that everyone seems to boast about when they talk about Paris.  I mean, how could you not love it?  Let’s start with the architecture.  There isn’t one bad-looking building that I’ve seen thus far.  There’s buildings with such minute detail and elegance… there’s even buildings that look like half of it was dipped in gold.  It’s just gorgeous, and yeah you can see pictures, but the real understanding of Parisian beauty happens when you actually get to experience it in real life.  Then,  there’s the language.  I think French is the prettiest-sounding language to listen to.  Next, the picture-perfect fountains and gardens that everyone hangs out at in the middle of the day.  There was legit people laying on chairs and catching some Z’s today at like 1 pm.  Why do I love that so much? Last but certainly not least, the bougie afternoon tea at the Peninsula Paris Hotel.

I’m not exaggerating when I say we felt like royalty sitting on the terrace nibbling from our two selections of afternoon tea and sipping on glasses of Laurent-Perrier rosé champagne.  Some of my favorites, if I had to pick any, were the salmon finger sandwiches, the banana and chocolate whipped cream cupcake, and the waffle with strawberry jam and chocolate hazelnut sauce.  If you saw my Snapchat, you’ll know that everything tasted as good as it looks.  Austin and I were in afternoon tea heaven!  If it wasn’t the beautiful sounds of the piano playing that put everything over the top, it was definitely the impeccable service.  I will definitely make it a necessity to come here on my future trips to Paris.

Follow me on Snapchat to see more of our Parisian adventures! (hannamonty)

Alexander Wang pants [HERE] // Zara crop top // Strathberry bag [HERE]

Two words: these pants.  I got them a few weeks ago in New York, and they are easily one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe at the moment!  They are the perfect pair of dress pants (wide leg, long, and high waisted) and I know I’ll get so much use of them.  For this look I paired it with a simple black crop top and heels for our dinner date last night at Gaucho steakhouse in London.

Travel update: we are now in Paris!  We took the train from London and I have to say it was so easy and an overall great experience.  I really recommend traveling on the Eurostar train if you’re going from London to Paris or vice versa.  I slept the majority of the time and only woke up to eat and work a bit on the computer!

Tomorrow we’re waking up early, grabbing breakfast, and exploring this beautiful city.  If it’s HALF as beautiful as it is at night I will be a very happy girl.  We have afternoon tea scheduled at the Peninsula hotel tomorrow too, so it should be a nice and relaxing day here in Paris.  Talk soon my loves!

LSPACE X GORJANA

Today marks the first day of summer!  My all-time favorite season.  I wanted to show you guys the new bikini I got that I cannot wait to wear in Croatia next week!  It honestly fits like a glove… I need to get more tops like this because it really pushes my boobs together and that’s an extremely RARE occasion.  I wish I could show you how it looks on but that will have to wait until I get to Croatia.  It’s a little hard to see in the photo, but it’s a pretty light gold color with floral detailing.  It goes perfectly with Gorjana’s beachy accessories.  Both brands teamed up to create the perfect summer capsule collection 🙂

Well, Camden Market was truly something!  Located only a couple miles away from our hotel, Camden Town felt like a whole other world with it’s signature food stands and endless jewelry and fashion boutiques.  This is the place where you find out-of-the-ordinary cool shit that you can’t get anywhere else.  I wish I was in more of a shopping mood, but I still managed to get my hands on a pair of cute sunglasses for 10 pounds 🙂

Things You’ll Find Here:

jewelry, vintage clothing, cool band tees, trinkets, belts, leather goods

Food:

you can find specialties from a bunch of different countries from all over the world!

MUST TRY:

the Dutch pancakes!!! 10 mini pancakes for 3.50

Helpful Tip:

Keep your friends close but your personal belongings closer

Things to Know:

Every shop owner STARES you down when you’re shopping.  Kinda uncomfortable, but I’m sure they have dealt with a lot of theft in such a busy and crowded market!
