Byron Bay treated us very well. It’s the perfect little town surrounded by jungle, and it’s very up to date with healthy food options (a huge plus for me, especially after eating badly the majority of the trip), and the shopping is amazing! There’s tons of vintage shopping, and local Australian shops. One of my favorites was a store called Miss Browns, which is a vintage denim store with every pair of Levi’s you can imagine, and another store called Thrills.
Good spots to eat are Byron Fresh (great for fresh salads or healthy, hearty dishes) and Miss Margarita is a great for Mexican food and spicy margs. For coffee and açaí bowls, Top Shop was the perfect place.
Now we’re on our way to Stradbroke Island, where we’ll stay for two nights before heading to the Gold Coast for the surf competition. It’s kind of nice not having a plan, and just doing whatever we please.
